Omgomgomgomgweeeeeeeeeeee.
Started packing tonight, currently seem to just have a very big pile of warm furry stuff.
What's the deal with Apres-ski? Do we need shirt+tie/gladrags?
Couple of random worries:
Sunblock? No-one's mentioned this yet. Stock up on factor 50?
Does one do much tramping around in snow? Would a pair of decent walking boots be worth the space?

Apres ski attire = slightly warmer than the usual night out :)
Sunblock: check.
Sensible shoes: check.

I come back from London at 23:45 on Friday.
I depart Munich at 09:30 sharp on Saturday (having picked the car up at 08:00).
I'm not packed. At all.
Once again, stop whinging :-)
Sunblock doesn't look like a big problem, but some factor 10 might not go amiss.
Tramping around in snow I usually use trainers I don't care about.

For those with mobile phones (ie all of us) please remember your chargers and plug converters.

Going out stuff is usually casual furry stuff, as opposed to furry stuff you have been skiing around in all day :)

Pingman, I have a Nokia Pay as you Go too. I enabled it for international roaming last week by phoning 0870 5 678 678 and following the almighty godforsaken automated voice thingy and then eventually getting to speak to a person at the end of it. Tignes has good signal (according to the map of France on the O2 website).
Also, I bought a bolt-on for £1.99 which lasts a month and reduces the costs of calls and texts (both making and receiving) whilst you are abroad.
Rach
ps. It hurts to say it but I have *no* non-sensible footwear with me. O. M. G. :D

Mobile Phone coverage is generally very good, cos people use their phones to find each other up the mountain ALL THE TIME. The cell companies have had good incentives to cover the resorts well.

Well I've not packed yet but my gf has pretty much finished already. I'm sure she'll be mocking me as I rush about and forget to pack important things like jumpers and pants half an hour before we're due to leave.
This is especially likely to happen as we're seeing Velvet Revolver in London tomorrow night so that gives us the grand total of about 5 hours sleep between getting home and leaving to catch the plane.
Twill be worth it in the end though.

Are you packing smart clothes for going out, well ive got reasonably nice jeans packed allredy but should i pack thigns like a smart pair of shoes and shirts?

As mentioned previously, going out stuff, is tshirts and jumpers, plus fleece/ski jacket for getting there in.
Bearing in mind there will be snow and ice on the ground, I will be wearing my walking boots, but either those or trainers will be fine. Just as long as you dont mind snow or ice on them.

Ping this isn't central London, the bars really do not care what you wear! Practicality is the order of the day :)

Matching flourescent green ones are an especial favourite - perhaps Wizzo and Heron should consider a purchase?
