I drink enough of it whilst at work and i'm sure some of you lot do too...
Just how good is tea for you?! Is it fattening if you drink lots?

Depends... if it's evil tea from a vending machine it sure is fatting. If you insist on having several sugars in your tea, it can also be fatting. Milk in your tea might have some fatting effect. Caffene in the tea might have some dodgy effect.
Drink bottled water, thats the only safe way =)

Water + Teabag, adding anything else to tea marks you as demon spawn who should be hunted down.

You should reduce the amount of sugar you have in Tea. Do it slowly grain at a time over a couple of years. That will save your teeth from rotting..

When I was in year 7 my friend and I used to have an odd obsession with tea (and also homemade lemonade!).. we used to dare each other to put silly amounts of sugar in the tea and then drink it.. it got to something like 6 or 7 spoons :o .... but then we got used to drinking it like that :/
I'm so thankful my teeth are still in good condition!

Took me about 3 weeks to go from 2 spoons to none, simply by cutting it down gradually each day to none, same with cerial.
Now the thought of suger in team sounds absolutly horrible.

Had a builder round our house once that took 8 sugars in his tea.
I just drink water, despite the communist conspiracy of flouridation, sapping and impurifying my precious bodily fluids.

Yeah, it is meant to have anti-cancer properties. I remember reading that a little while ago when some study or other was carried out.
Strong, no sugar for me, if anyone's making........

And even minerals within bottled water has been linked to causing cancer. Nothing is safe so eat and drink whatever you like cos in the end we all end up in the same state... Waiting for the next round of life :)

and if you reuse the bottles you'll get cancer
I love tea, usually have without milk, go through stages with milk though...depends tea with milk has a tendency to make me feel sick sometimes
And I don't see how people can like tea with sugar...it just tastes really odd

In a course at uni we analysed tea and coffe to see which contained more caffine. We found that tea contained far more caffine but that's probably because of the way it's brewed. Anyhow, we also found that some coffe contains rather high amounts of cyclical carbonhydrates (mainly soot and tar) where as tea didn't contain any of these compounds. It's also a fact that both tea and coffe dehydrating, it has something to do with the metabolism of caffine so if you drink **** loads of tea you prolly drink alot of water aswell :)

Wouldn't recommend pouring hot tea on yourself to heal burns :D

tannic acid same as tannin? in which case young red wine good for that too :p:
And yea, I prefer tap water, although only in some places, tap water where I go to school is terrible. Although not terrible enough to warrant a bottle of water costing 80p in the vending machine.
Anyway, isn't it that tea has more caffeine derivatives than coffee but coffee has more caffeine that will actually DO something? That's what I heard. Although this was from some crazy guy.. :p:

but didn't he just say 'he likes them'?
and they aren't watery if you make them right (i.e. pour the water in and stir as you go... then the coffee gets mixed properly and doesn't just stay wadded at the bottom of the cup)
Er00
