Hi all..
I tried last night to set up a server, I created a public game and as cabe predicted it updated all the files.
I shut down, restarted, launched server as a public server,
tried to connect using other machine, error message 'failed to connect to server' although it was seen in the MSN zone server list..
Other friends also got the same error message..
Anyone got any ideas...?
I rang MS in the US, at 1.00 am, they answered straight away and were very polite and helpful right upto the point where I told them it was a server i was trying to create and they said 'we dont support that sir' .... gits, no matter how polite someone is it still stings when i hear those words..
now all help gratefully recieved on this.
I have an adsl line hitting a 3com router, the router is wide open, TCP enabled, DNS Enabled, IP enabled, Bridging enabled..
the router is connected to my pc via a 10Mb hub, the pc has tcp installed and thats about it..
anyone got any ideas, wizzo how did you get on setting yours up..
