Ok, here's some info for you people that are just gagging to know more.

Included in the price is breakfast and afternoon tea.

Evening meals cost £9.50 and include wine.

Packed lunches cost £4 a day and include a baguette sandwich, chocolate bar/fruit and drink.

I'll organise for us to have a meal there on Saturday night at least so we don't have to concern ourselves on our first night.

How about we then have another 2 or 3 nights of evening meals. Otherwise we can eat out / self-cater depending on will to cook and opulence.

The important bit: if we do want meals to be cooked for us then we need to know in advance, not the night before, so have a think.

What are peoples thoughts?

I personally have no preference but the last night sounds like a good one to eat out and drink hard.

2-3 nights sounds good.

Packed lunches at 4 quid a pop does not sound as good as coming back at 11:30 and eating all of the lunchtime cake and baguettes in Deux Alpes :-)

Depending on the ease of shoppingness and people's willingness to eat it, I'm prepared to cook one night.

How about eating in Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Then eat out on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (birthday nights - whats French for free drinks?), and of course the Friday night of pain.

Add "sil vous plais " to the end of it, means If you please.

ALso, there suggestion fo eat out on birthday nights sounds good to me.

And, are we paying for ski rental in EUR or £?

Errmm. Standard is Euros, unless the lodge owners have said any different?

They havn't said different so €.

So what's the final thought on meals at the lodge?

Silk suggested Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday - that sound resonable? Or are we cutting one of those for self-caterage?

P.S how about someone makes a new thread with a poll?

I'm all for eating out on the birthdays, maybe with another night out eating sometime, and the rest eat at lodge/self cater.

That would make good sense, yes :)

I reckon....

Sat: arrival, eat at lodge
Sun: B'day night, out
Mon: B'day night, out
Tue: B'day night, out
Wed: Post triple nighter, lodge
Thu: What you like - probably self-cater
Fri: Last night out

That makes 4 nights out, 1 self-cater and 2 lodge.

All not in favour speak up, otherwise I'll just book that.

FYI if you do want to be fed at the lodge any other nights then you can also arrange it yourselves - we don't need to eat as a big group. You just need to tell Jane (the cook) in advance.

Sounds good Nj, and how's this as a back up proposal.

If, after two nights of utter death to ourselves and our wallets, a third seems undoable, I'm perfectly happy if my birthday becomes a houseparty instead.

That would take off a bit of the pressure and probably increase the overall fun quotient.

Do not be silly. Ever again.

Despite the last ski trip where many people were dead by third night (tm) which was the bar crawl/evening of death where only two made it through to the end, we *WILL* ensure third night hax.

Oh, and we will, just like last years third night (tm) find a table football table somewhere, and myself and Nj will proceed to whitewash the locals while one giggles like a maniac and the other dances a highland jig. However, unlike last year we will not, I repeat *NOT* smoke a pack of Galoises.

Please note, we will not be eating in any genuine small french restaurants again after last year.

Cue undercooked steak and the lentil soup of death.

Totally agree with all of that.

hehe, drinking game that heron is crap at, and the tipple of choice was wine.

The face and noise you made when we decided to take the wine off of you because you were wasted! Funniest holiday moment.
