All you lucky Mac Shareware developers out there can now buy a new development language. BlitzMax (www.blitzbasic.com) is an advanced (2D) games development language for the Mac. One of the key benefits of writing a game using this language is it's cross platform compatibility. A windows & Linux version of BlitzMax is due out soon. If you buy one version you have rights to download and use the other two when they are released. If your curious about developing games, it is certainly worth a look. There is a free 30 day trial version so you can download and get a feel for it. Below is the link again..

BlitzMax only $80(US) (www.blitzbasic.com)

This is a public information broadcast, I have nothing to gain from telling you this :)

Blitz Basic is OLD SKOOL.

I used to write games in that on my Amiga.

Very easy to learn.

Yes yes yes, thats the point. Blitz Plus and Blitz 3D are available for the PC (not the Mac). Blitz max is the brand spanking new verison of Blitz which has nice cross platform development possibilties.. To see what people are producing in blitz basic/ Blitz 3D head over to Blitz Coder (link) (www.blitzcoder.com). You can download a superb chu-chu rocket remake, a dizzy remake, cybernoid remake, loads of games.
However, there are other options available soon (early 2005 apparently), I shall be speaking to Afty about these at Stratlan :)
