Saturday Nights Source Fun

Hey to all that took part in Saturday's late night games - good fun, thanks for turning up :)

As most of you may have been aware, I was recording the games (and also teamspeak a bit later on) for comedy effect, but it turns out there's some pretty decent 'material' in here. Had a couple suggestions of what to do with it - a nice highlight reel for each player showing some choice good / bad moments looks to be on the cards :p:

I have 40mb of actual .dem files to wade through, apparently without the ability to rewind/fast forward, so that will be fun. Ripping from FRAPS gives an average disk usage of 1gigabyte/minute, so it may take a little while before I have something to show.

Sadly, it seems some of the demo's suffered some kind of 'corruption'. The only thing that I can narrow it down to are instances when a certain someone picked up a frag grenade by accident and tried to use it. I tried everything I could think of but it looks like I'll just have to miss those rounds off the video.

Andy I don't believe you for one second. You have at least three of those. No way are they corrupt :p

Blatant directory hax to prevent you all seeing andyf throwing a frag grenade, shouting "GRENADE" at me as i was ahead and then 2 seconds later, blowing his own head off as he somehow managed to throw it onto his head :D

I do hope we have the awesome footage of Bootz taking apart her own team on th first round of aztec, 2 teamkills in one round i ask you!

Not really, just pay attention in #multiplay when the call goes out. The inner circle is a myth!

What happens is, someone posts on the curious 'bvark pr0 gamer' thread, "i'm in tonight", and then I start spaffing random people "source tonight?" and they say yes/no (delete as appropriate), and then at around 8-ish, I start bugging everyone I can see on #multiplay, x-fire, and comms to come play CS. I randomly spaff the IP of the current server we're all on into irc, and we go from there. Games are recorded in-game and comms chatter is sometimes picked up ;)

And then everyone finds some way to make fun of andys skills. Some days are harder than others :D
