Hello folks. I have 5 Efficient Networks EN5861 ADSL Routers for sale.

All 5 are in perfect working order and condition and have Revision 2 power supplies fitted, fixing the only unreliable part of these unfeasably stable and fast routers.

All are fully unlocked to full release Efficient Networks Firmware by me and are easy to get online with and secure/port forward etc. Telephone, lan and power cable supplied.

"The Efficient Networks® 5861 Business Class ADSL Router provides an advanced solution for up to 100 or more users with robust firewall and optional Secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) capabilities. The product is also Business Contingency Plan ready, with features such as Dial Backup and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP)*. Incorporating a four-port 10baseT Ethernet hub, the Efficient Networks® 5861 Business Class ADSL Router is suited to small business and branch office applications where high reliability and security are required. Providing broadband access, best-of-class routing and advanced security features to small and medium businesses, the Efficient Networks® 5861 Business Class ADSL Router provides the key component in a complete ADSL service solution.

For full details of the extensive capabilities of this product, please download the PDF document from Efficient Networks® here (http://www.ftel.co.uk/uk/products/consumer/5861.pdf).

Technical support and information for Efficient Networks® Business Class DSL products can be found here (http://support.efficient.com/) . Some service providers offer remote upgrading of these products - please do not update the software on your Efficient Networks® Business Class product unless you have been told by your service provider to do so.

*In case of ADSL service interruption, the Dial Backup feature enables non-stop Internet access by automatically switching traffic to an external V.90 modem. The VRRP feature allows heavy-duty Internet users to continuously handle mission-critical transactions by switching traffic to a backup ADSL router.

Here is the good part. I have collected these over the last year along with various other routers, but these are the only ones I rate well enough to sell on to ppl.

£37 EACH including delivery. You just can't argue with that price :D

Cheers,

Nick :)

£35? and how can you take payment?

Mr Footlong
26th November 2004, 12:45
Don't really want to go lower than £37 as it is a very good solid router tbh and I though I was doing a very good price already.

Bank transfer is preferrable as paypal simply rob you :(

Normal 1mb version. The 2mb versions are rare and expensive :(.

Freelance, are you interested still?

I will email you guys tonight/tomorrow, as I intend to kick back a bit after a fairly busy day.

Hi there. forgot to say. I flashed them all with the current official firmware available for them. 5.3.80 if memory serves. I only stuck with that firmware as I know it works solidly enough, but you can easily get newer ones. I shall burn a little cd of random stuff all related to this router with each.

So far I have 1 confirmed, 1 getting back to me, 1 waiting to respond to price and one guy who doesn't need to offer more than I am asking, but I don't know if he currently has the money ;)

Cheers,

Nick :)

No Friends, sorry dude, but I can't really hold one back tbh, so I have to say that one is still available. If you can get the money together then fine, if not, sorry m8 :(

I shall stick the emails together when I get back today and get cd's ready. Lyn, if you want, I can pre-program yours with your connection details, so chances are you won't have to touch it to get online and then can just have a play later, but it's up to you. I will send the easy connect instructions either way :)

Cheers,

Nick :)

Luckily enough it was only 4 buyers so far, as I have fully 'live' tested all 5 again as I said I would. 4 of them are working absolutely perfectly testing on one of our company adsl connections I am typing this out now connected via one of them :).

I am not 100% happy with the 5th unit so have withdrawn that from sale for the time being at least.

I hope to be packing them up today and shipping them out to you guys tomorrow :)
Cheers,

Nick :)

Lyn and Steve, your units have been deposited at the Post Office and should be with you tomorrow.

Unfortunatly the other 2 payments have yet to actually show up in my bank, so hopefully tomorrow for the other 2.

Cheers,

Nick :)

P.S. Remember to look at the CD first. There is a webpage on the root with easy to follow instructions to get you connected. With regards to the advanced config tools etc on the disc, it's down to you to play with them if you want, but there is a fair bit of documentation on there I downloaded for the routers.
