Hi guys, not sure if im allowed to post this or not, but what the hell i thought i might as well anyay.

Basically i been talking to wizzo for a little while now about support via multiplay etc... im sure well figure it all out eventually, thats not what the message is about as im sure ill catch wizzo on mirc one day lol.

Anyway what im posting about is staff, essentially we are looking for between 5-10 people to work as staff for our upcoming LAN party in january, probably gonna be for 80 -100 people, usually we give staff free admission to the event, and to most (not all but most) tournaments, usually free food and a bit of free alcohol as we supply all at the events themselves (though again not loads of alcohol for obvious reasons) and occasionally depending ont he success of the staff at the event a few other bits and bobs curtesy of our very friendly sponsors.

Anyway if anyone is interested in staffing for us, then drop me an email at staff@quicksan.co.uk
for the record the event is on the 21st - 23rd January 2005.
and if you wanna check out our website just pop to
http://www.rogue-lans.com

Hope i talk to some of you guys soon then :)
ps. this was not an advert for my unsupported lan party on multiplay forums honest... but if it helps to get us supported quicker all the better.

Regards.

I need to get some network experiance. i've been thinking of applying to staff at mpuk events for a while now but have always rather played games :). I can do all the basic and prob most of the intermediate stuff you would need. Anything advanced i'm not sure about :p. I did it all at uni but just never had chance to put it into practice. It would also be a good thing for me to put on my cv to try and get a job :p.

I'll help u out if you dont get any better offers :)

Thanky uo for your response, ive dropped you a pm with some more information etc... and i am gratefull for your offer, we have several spots open of all different types so im sure we can use you somewhere within our group.

For the rest of you i might as well say what we are looking for still so you guys know.

1 experienced games networker (who would work with another to manage the teams - depending on experience they may get paid a slight amount as well as other benefits mentioned)

2 gofers (essentially the less experienced people who would run errands, for all the staff and that)

6 techies (people to trouble shoot problems that may crop up during the event we run, setup every participant on our network, help people prepare their pc's, install network cards if neccessary etc...)

these are the specific places we are looking for however there are usually other spots that appear every now and then, so if you think you can help in some way or fit one of the above postiions then email me, reply here, or pm me and ill get back to you asap.

I might be interested, will update you of my driving test as that will govern if I get to come down.

I am at the low - intermediate stage sort of the stage Guigsy was talking about, and I am the same as him, I have been thinking of applying for a while, but still wanted to play games and enjoy myself.
