Ok i have a dell laptop, last year sometime my first dell laptop brok well eventually after the help of a guy i found on a forum i got my laptop replaced with a new one (took months of ringing dell before this guy helped me out),

well just over 13 months after it was replaced, this laptop has fecked up too

the problem: when booting up the system i get a hard drive not found error (ive tried re seating the hard drive and a few other things on the dell website)

now sometimes if i reboot again the system will start up normally, but most times the system will display hard drive not found error

So basically ive had enough of dell laptops the warentee is out so they wont fix or replace it so im stuck with it, and i cant afford to keep replacing bits until i find the problem

so i want to sell it

in the summer i sold another broken one that didnt work as well as this for 300 but it was less than half the spec and was nearly three years old

the spec of this laptop is:

Inspiron 8500
CD RW/DVD combo drive
Infrared port
Firewire port
2x USB port
Lan Card
56k Modem
Touchpad mouse
Button mouse (in center of keybord)
on bord battery and spear battery (replaces cd rom)
2.4 Ghz Litestep Technology CPU
512 MB ddr Ram
Nvidia Geforce4 4200 Go With Video Out (PAL/NTSC etc)
1x PCMCIA port
14" x 8" screen 1280 x 800 resolution (wide screen)
Colour is silver with blue decals (actually really nice looking)
As new Condition no scratches or damage

Only the problem as aqbove which for someone in the know could be easy to fix?

what do we think? id like to get £1000 for it was worth around £1800 last year when new?

£1,000 for a brand new one will get you AMD64, 512mb ram and a 9700 pro mobility so you aint gonna get it for that. More like £800.
