Is this the system you use to power these behemoths (http://andyf.me.uk/albums/i21/IMG_0830_two_big_phase_change_systems.jpg) ?

I've got a standard PC65 myself and love it to bits :D
I'm tempted myself now aswell!
Only concern (being new to this kinda thing!) is future upgradability. ie what processor is it currently for and would it be possible to still use it with an athlon 64 which my mate is planning on buying very soon?
Mr Footlong

Yes from memory but you will need to track down an a Athlon 64 fitting kit for it. They do exist.

I have looked on the internet for the AMD 64 part to convert it, it is £60.
Will you take £160 cash for it at i22?
Mr Footlong

I ain't the one selling it, but I am the one that built it and that is robbery, absolute robbery IMO. :(

Mate this system is worth well over that, £200 is what it is.
I can not go any lower than that.
I have seen Prometia Mach ones with just the conversion go for more than this
Sorry but £200 is the lowest I would take for this.
Thanks

I'll phone him for you mate.
And Bonkers, how about simply stating why my post was deleted instead of edited instead of using the typical mpuk reg tone of talking down to everyone else :(
Most of what I wrote was topic related aimed at making the guy who built the pc feel it was gonna go to a good home :p

Really looking forward to helping Fez build this up at the weekend.
I'll post some pics for the previous owner and the guy who helped him build it up here once we have finished it.
That is asuming I can manage to add all the bits and pieces those nasty people at Kustom PC's talked me into unwittingly buying to add to my lian li.
First thing we'll do (Fez doesn't know this yet!) is drill a hole in the mobo tray to keep all of those nasty wires out of sight by passing them though it and hiding them at the rear of the case.
Mmmm there is a distinct danger it's just going to become a superior copy of my case.
Fez you are on your on my son!! :D

FAO Wubster/Mr Footlong,
I've just been around to Fez's house and have a couple of questions for you.
What exactly is the little circuit board with mobo power inputs on it and i see there is one of those pentium power inputs on it which in the pics of your old pc (I'm presuming you had an athlon here) appeared to actually be plugged in. Also there are a couple of smaller wires coming out of it which at the moment I'm not sure what they are for.
The other main query is that there is what appears to be something coming out of the psu which enables you to up the voltages. There are 2 dials on this, I was wondering exactly what they do please.
And a minor note, it looks as if one of the wires to the front panel of the case is damged/missing. From looking at the remaining ones I reckon it's the reset switch. Is this correct and has it just been damaged in transit or done purposefully? :p: Either way, it won't matter much in order for us to be able to build the case up.
Some of the points I have raised above might be slightly incorrect as we havent yet started to build it up as we are waiting on a new block for an athlon 64 and I only had a quick look at it trying to work out what the fugg was what!
Cheers chaps.

The unit you mention is a power conditioner module which was an optional extra for the mach1 units. It keeps ALL power cut to the mobo until the unit reaches op temp and then fires it all up. It speeds up the cooling time considerably and removes any poss risk of heat build up etc from an initialized or partially initialized mobo.
I will have a look and see if I have any documentation for prommy and the power conditioner, but I knew them off the top of my head when I built them.

Mach 1 manual here:
http://www.crazypc.com/support/nventiv/MACHI.pdf
I had a damn good hunt and couldn't find the info for the power conditioner, it was only sent on a piece of paper. I will continue to look, but so far :(

Cheers for any help you can give, I am still trying to sort out where all the wires for the unit and conditioner go to
everything sorted!!!!

I managed to get that piece of paper and thought it would help me out as everything fitted together, but no, the PC shut down after a few seconds every time, so now the prometeia is disconnected and I am loading everything up first then trying over xmas to reconnect.
I have no idea atm what it can be, but have a LAN this weekend so need a working pc.

A. What board is it?
B. Have you searched around on the Xtremesystems forums at all? One of the best sites for Prommy-related stuff.
If the board is what I think you are going to say, then it has 'issues' with booting off sub-zero chips iirc.
Fez57

It is the ABIT 3rd EYE AV8 board with a AMD 64 3500+ winchester chip.
