Ive seen alot of people talking about how they would like Tyranid added at a later date be it patch or expansion pack but it looks like someone has beat Relic to the punch.

The above is a moding community ive stumbled across that are working on Tyranids as we speak, so not too long to wait *fingers crossed* :D

The problem with mods that introduce new units / races (experience from other RTS games), is that the authors can sometimes have a tendancy to make them ever so slightly unbalanced and better than the existing units/teams.

I won't play with anything unofficial to be honest. If it hasn't been tested in-house, then it's not tested full-stop in my book.

Relic always seem to be mindful of the modding community, so if this project gathers enough interest im sure the RDN will help out with making sure the thing is as balanced and stuff as possible...

the thing is, when did Tyranids change colour... the last I saw of them they were red (Genestealers and Termagants were blue)

Tyranids don't have a set colour. The colour scheme you're talking about is the famous colour scheme from Hive Fleet Behemoth, which was quelled by the Ultramarines.
