At least you can get yours to the kinda latest version.

I thought id get my self back in the mood of playing HL, I installed my game which is the original version that came out back on its day if release those many moons ago, I tried to update the game and it cam back telling me I must install Steam client software and gave me a weblink. I went onto download and install steam, again tried to play HL and it required an update, steam went through some garble and came back to tell me it couldnt find HL install on my machine .... grrrr

If you just want half life, the 1110 patch is freely available on the net. I tried it through steam only to find some peen has stolen my CD key. I somehow don't think Sierra are going to want to give me a new one considering I bought Half Life the day it was released.

After reading your message christ saying how you cdkey for the original cdkey had been stolen I thought Id register my copy of the original HL to see if I had any problems. I havent really played HL since steam was released and last time I had problems with steaam so I never got my cdkey regsitered. But last night it registered it fine (found it as HL: Platinum, even though it was the original). Anyways it set up fine and then went on to update HL to the latest version (took approx 3 hours to do this). So im happy playing HL2 and also last night I played TFC which was great fun I aint really played this game since about i10 ish when I moved over to Quake3 (so of course no need for steam), but now im back in to TFC and loving it.
