Some people came in, spammed racist abuse, and were g-lined (repeatedly in some cases). It seems that, being a large channel, #multiplay is the target of many spammers and lamers. This is a shame, as it spoils things for real community members who want to chat.
Many thanks to the hundreds of IRCops who helped out, hopefully this has all been resolved now.

Freeserve's abuse team were contacted today (not by myself) and the spammer's account is being disconnected in the next cycle at midnight tonight :)
