Its those moments (assassinating an enemy heir) that you just won't get to experience in Multiplayer.
But yes, it's fantastic fun :)

nothing is as annoying as having an utterly immense general with amazing management and tactical skill.....
and then have him go flacid on you before he has kids!

Having captured corduba - the spanish are now seiging it - it seems to be a prob with the AI that they never actually ATTACK a settlement - they just hope that they can starve it out...re-inforcements arrive and they all die.
also dont ally with the britons - they are snakes and they are liars!
and i now have a family member called "pilus the mad" in who's description it states
"Painting his bottom purple and draping himself in goats bladders does nothing for this mans standing"
he was living in a giant amphora before this - amazingly he has a management skill of over 7 now and was running my capital city for a few years with no problems....

LOL, one of my potential heirs had "hooting" which had a similar description involving standing still at night and hooting like an owl...
On the upside, I was worried about where my fourth generation heir would come from, when one of my 16 year old great granddaughters was asked to marry by a young patrol leader who was also 16, and already a 4 star general. By 21 he is a 7 star general and rising.... ah the joy :)
I'm also the richest, most advanced faction in the world, but the people of my capital city live in utter squalor - however having daily games at the arena helps :)
Damn I wish this turn based section was multiplayer, just like the last one it's the best bit of the game.
