Sometime next year - probably summertime - i'm looking at booking a few days (probably leaving saturday night and getting back sometime the week after - thursday/friday) off and going either to west wales or to swanage (in dorset) to do a weeks diving.
I wouldn't want to go on my own though, so is anyone here interested in such a trip?
Bear in mind the costs of kit hire (relatively pricey), hotel staying (in west wales, not too bad - there's youth hostels or some sleeping space at a dive centre nearby which is ubercheap - 10 quid a night or something like that), boat rides (usually about 10-20 quid a time, one or two a day depending on operator) and tank refills. All in cost for about 5 days you should probably budget about 3-400 quid, though that's a figure off the top of my head.
Travel would be either by train or convoy.
One other thing - no beginners please. I'm an advanced open water, dry suit etc, which means i can go down to 40m, i'd be looking for people with at least the same level of qual (PADI) or equivalent bsac/other organisations. I'll be diving mostly wrecks and fast drifts if there are any, reefs are okay for a 2nd dive though.
If you're interested, post here or drop me an e-mail to kalleth AT gmail DOT com
