I bought CoD when ¹²M were talking about playing it online as a team - a change from Unreal....
Anyways, I played the single player from start to finish and really enjoyed it.
Got familiar with settings and weapons.
Downloaded 1.4 and the 1.4 patch.
then got a map pack and off I trotted to a server.
After a short time my comp blue screened - and not the one with lots of writing to tell you where the problem was - all I got was literally a blue screen and hard lock.
Rebooted and tried again and exactly same problem.
I can play single player 'til the pups come home - but thou shalt not play online - no sireee.
Comp details:
Asus A7N8X-E deluxe
3.2 athy
1g of Crucial 3200
Hercules 98pro
Samsung hd's - 1 ata, 1 sata
dvd re writer
use onboard sound and lan.
ms v3

the game comes up fine in multiplayer mode until I step onto a server and then it's a matter of minutes or seconds before BSOD.
anyone know what the problem could be?
