As i sit here in my front room, eating my kebab watching rolf harris fisting a small dog on animal hospital- i thought we should start a tradition of posting a record of the event in here for posterity-
i21 Mohaa - The Admins perspective
In traditional style the lan begins not at the event but in the pub across the green. Stryker, Gav and myself are quickly joined by harrymonk, promoz, hypo, murthwaite and all the other lads (im not listing you all :p). A few rounds and we medically needed some whisky so i got some shots in- before you know whats happening promoz brings over some tequila... Some good laughs and everyones ready to head back over to the event to setup their kit. I was later informed that a radiator was ripped from a wall in the pub apparently by our party- As I didnt witness this (or the apparent chucking out we apparently received??) i cannot comment. All i will say is I hope it wasnt a member of this community responsible as it will undoubtably make it difficult for us to visit the establishment again.
The trek back over the green proved two things:
1) Ferk didnt score 32 points with the stick (women and children dont count)
2) Re-enacting wrestlemania on grass only results in grass stains and loss of jewelry.
After setting up the kit I think the guys went for some drinks :) I decided to play some games and meet some people.
Friday saw the event start to fill out nicely with most of the mohaa community arriving in early afternoon. We held a quick meeting at night to discuss the tournament- as usual everyone knows the score. I provide the servers and you guys just <ben stiller> do it </ben stiller> - Thanks to everyone for playing the games in a timely manner :)
We had alot of teams turn out for the tournament:
boOness, Xcite, =F.H=, darkside, |R|, fullmj, BMF and =S.A.S=
So i had to rename the tournament to the i21 haxRus tourney to accomodate the fact that they all hax.
I retired to travellodge and my damn comfortable bed and TV (which showed porn- the midget stayed in the suitcase that night i can tell you :)
Saturday morning and i return to find people already playing their tournament games! I didnt get a chance to use my pimp hand all weekend :( All the group stage games were finished on saturday leaving us 2 semi finals and the final for sunday. Originally the final was scheduled for 1pm on sunday but on account of the CS kiddies being forced to throw their rattles out their cots when steam died we rescheduled until 8pm
Unlike previous finals it was held in the tote building where the bar was- i think it was better in there than on the 2nd floor as it was quieter (excluding the ddr people that is) . We had special guest commentators in the form of Turkey and LIZARD- both lads did a great job entertaining the drunks. The final also included broadcast of darksides teamspeak on murths request- that boy has serious frank sinatra aspiration problems.
The match itself was very close with darkside grappling their way to 1st place by 15 rounds to 13. Very good game to watch.
We played some fun wars with loads of players in the melee- Dredgos and Uppem (sin ?) won the prestigeous i21 player pimp medallions of pimpishness- almost as good as an olympic gold :)
Thanks to everyone that came along to the lan- especially engel, promoz and the other lads who travelled such a long way to join us for drinky-poos
