Well my trackmania kept freezing every few seconds, its rather annoying!

so uninstalled it...

go to reinstall it, and guess what? The disk is read, but my pc crashes every time...


New tm disk is needed?

this one is rather scratched btw :\

how can people be so negligent to discs... keep them in their cases, and they dont get scratched... work it out :rolleyes:

rofl erm, just tryed it in a different CD drive on my pc, was using my DVD drive... and it works perfectly fine now... so the drive could be fooked :/

the starforce copy protection is rumoured to mess with the FEC (forward error correction) coding on the disc, making it less resistant to scratches. another reason i'd prefer a steam style of licencing/copy protection instead of relying on cheap discs that they won't replace without a whole load of bother
