OK, this is giving me a headache. Make up your mind from the above poll. Select either 1 answer from each category (Colour, Slogan and Writing) OR the bottom option (how it currently is).

The prices in general are:

£6.50 with plain coloured writing
£7.50 with silver glittery writing
£8.50 with glow in the dark writing

You have until Thursday! then, Thursday night, I'll write an ordering system and you can order the T-Shirts. Payment i21 or by cheque, etc.

The top two combinations will be taken and available for ordering.

Erm, scratch one pink with glitter and replace with black with white/uv. I'm crap, I'm SO sorry :(

Guigsy

I'm not happy paying any more than £6.50 for a t-shirt i'll probably only ever wear for one weekend TBH.

I reckon the sky blue + plain colour writing is the cheapest and best looking and most practical option.

Anyone voting for black clearly didn't attend last year when we had temperatures like it was the south of France and wearing black meant certain death. :)

Pink
Violent Video Games
Glitter

The violent video games slogan is pretty funny, if you guys don't use it I might rip you off and use it on a #lessthan3 shirt :D~!

Merchandising is cool!

sky blue
video games
black writing (although silver glitter would also be good)

Video games has to be the best slogan as it's catchy and witty. The brothel one is just lame and the melting one is ok but people aren't gonna get the idea that we play computer games really..

Whatever it ends up as, it better be something that is wearable after the event.

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 21:41
So it's looking like giving people a choice of ordering:

Sky Blue with Black Writing, £6.50
Pink with Glitter Writing, £7.50
Black with UV Writing, £8.50

Each with:

MPUK Alton Towers 2004

Playing violent videogames since 1999!

NickName

How does that sound? It's not too diverse and it provides an option for those who either want to be crazy, spend more money, or want something subtle they can wear elsewhere and not feel an idiot.

Murray has achieved clothing god status. Fear him!

I was so close to Pink... but in the end Im worried my masculinity might fail to shine through such a dazzling facade...

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 23:29
Well, the web page is ready to go for ordering those three T-Shirts. Everyone OK with this?

Aardvark
9th August 2004, 23:37
I'm getting both pink and black, I feel. People who are feeling particularly flush could get all 3, one for each day! :D

Mingtea
9th August 2004, 23:54
suddenly pink is tarnished for me, oh well i guess the good will outweight the bad, pink it is.

Baz
10th August 2004, 00:21

MPUK has been going since 1997 btw. The i-series started in 1999.

Afty
10th August 2004, 09:37
And most of us have been playing violent video games since the 80s, which I think makes a better slogan :)

"Playing violent video games since the 80's"

Can someone post the link to ordering t-shirts again plz?

Elbonio
10th August 2004, 11:16
"the 80's"mdoesnt have a nice a ring as "1999"

how about since 1984 since this was the release of the C64 ?

Murray-Mint
10th August 2004, 11:58
OK, assuming we are going for the videogames slogan and that the 3 T-Shirt styles are fine for everyone, the URL is... www.murray-mint.co.uk/at/index2.php.

We can decide on a year for the slogan now :)

i just want to confirm that if i get pink with spangley letters that people will not try to touch my arse anymore than they normally do. because it's just pink, it's not a sexual statement.

Aardvark
10th August 2004, 15:48
Stick with 1999. Its sort of accurate, and it sounds better than most other years :)

Strych
10th August 2004, 16:03
Do we need to re-order if we already ordered from the other link?

PS - 1999 has a beautiful ring to it, and it was the start of the i-series, which is our main binding tie, as it were. I say 1999 all the way!

Murray-Mint
10th August 2004, 16:06
Yep, I'm afraid so, too many changes :(

Mingtea
10th August 2004, 16:09

Strych

Also what do the sizes come up like?
Do we have an approximate chest size in inches for each of the sizes?

Ruth

I clicked it once!

My computer just sort of took a while to do anything. I honestly only pressed it once though. I can follow instructions you know. Even hard ones like that.

Once!!

Has anyone considered what effect glitter writing might have on the washing?

her0n
11th August 2004, 14:08
Looking at the site Murray linked to, I think we are assuming that the glitter is more the holographic kind, rather than actual glitter stuck on the shirt.. ?

Mingtea
11th August 2004, 19:01
yeah i imagine so... i mean real gitter would be real messy.

gemz
11th August 2004, 19:38
I had a glittery like substance on one of my Muse shirts, it came off first wash...

Strych
11th August 2004, 19:47
From what the website says this is not glitter, so much as holographic foil with a pattern of small overlapping circles, this giving the impression of "glitter" Maybe "glimmer" would be a better way of describing it.

Anyway basically, it's not small particles that will detatch in the wash, it is a solid foil. If its going to escape the shirt, it will be by peeling.

Elbonio
11th August 2004, 19:49
or ripped off in passion

Mingtea
11th August 2004, 20:08
So we won't have any letters left at all?

Guigsy
11th August 2004, 21:14
i had a tshirt with glittery writing on it. wasnt sure if it was the wash or ironing that made it come off.

Rmage
11th August 2004, 21:27
That glimmer stuff is fine as long as you dont boil wash it or iron on its front side which will make a mess of the iron if you leave long enough

Quoted from the BBC

"Pink was a boy's colour while blue was thought better for girls - a "generally accepted rule" according to The Ladies Home Journal in 1918, which described pink as "more decided and stronger" while blue was "more delicate and dainty". "

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3548904.stm

Woohoo!

Pink rules!

Mingtea
14th August 2004, 15:06

you know.. it's so true. i mean these days the roles and colors and all have reversed. back then the men were in charge and the women wore blue. i think it was some trick a really intelligent woman pulled that she got all us men in blue and now the girls in pink pull the strings.
