What a weekend - it was a classic.

As for column writage - the basel weekends are classic - there's always 3 days of fun to report on. Skiing ones are too drawn out ;)

And yeah, the fireworks rocked.

Did you all like Lancer's "I felt that one in my shorts" on the fireworks vid?

The finale this year was superb. Millions of screamers - man they were loud!

Something I forgot to mention on the email - despite the beer and food, the immense heat, sweat and exercise that I did do caused me to drop a not-inconsiderable 9 pounds of weight.

I haven't put it back on either :D

Apologies to Afty on the Meat Boat, whom I thought was teasing me about the desserts. You see, after eating a couple plates of food and having a few beers, I retired to the back of the ship to watch the water and take some pics. Afty soon joined us in his semi-naked state, and after a while mentioned he had some cracking dessert. I refused to believe what he was saying, until eventually his deadpan delivery drove me to explore the serving area.

They truely did have some fantastic choices on offer :) I was lucky, because no sooner had I scooped up a large portion of everything, the waiters came and started clearing up!

Switzerland is a lovely place but the weather is awesomely hot. If anyone is currently failing to cope with the stormy, humid UK weather, you really wouldn't have a chance in Basel :o
