My Cable Modem router keeps dying on me, its about time I bought a decent wireless one. Trouble is I have NO idea which are good?. I'm on NTL cable (if that makes any difference), and would like to have 4 port router with wireless. (incase I get a laptop soon!).

netgear do a good one
RP614 - http://www.netgear.co.uk/html/prod_routers_bband_rp614.htm
or Linksys - http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=34&scid=29&prid=561
these are the wired only models, they have wireless ones too, just look through the sites...
i prefer netgear, had mine for the last 2 years :)

I have the Buffalo 54mbps Wireless Broadband Router. Excellent device, 4 port 10/100 switch, WAN port to cable modem, 54g wireless, Router/Firewall, etc...
Works very well!

I just got a cheapy 1-port one from Ebuyer [Ebuyer Wireless 1 Port Ethernet/USB ADSL Modem Router (802.11b Wi-Fi)] and it does everything I need and hasn't died for weeks. I think they do a four port as well if you're looking for the economy option.

i've been using the Linksys BEFSX41 router for a couple of years here and it's been fine with everything i've thrown at it :)
the only problem i had was with msn voice comms, and a firmware update (to one that wasn't 18 months old;)) solved that:)
