I'm just going to confuse things now

these are the colours that are currently available
t-shirt colours here (http://www.prestigeleisure.co.uk/product.asp?productcode=SS28M)
if these colours arenot suitable then i can get other colours but they won't be at a super discount price. (Last years price was £4 each.)

Do we all have to wear the same colour?? If not, a mix of different colours with the same logo's on might look more suitable :)

I actually want a wearable t-shirt after AT so royal blue or something sensible please.

Aardvark
2nd August 2004, 00:22
Well, we don't actually have pink as an option. So I've been sensible and gone for royal blue, although I do like that purple one. Like a fleet of Barneys, we shall terrorise the park! :D

You do realise that sky blue is even gayer than pink? At least pink is WAY over the top and can be considered a joke :)

Guigsy

thats true

Optimus

Towneh
2nd August 2004, 17:11
I vote we all have different Global Hypercolour T-Shirts that change colour with heat.

*edit*

Perhaps we could splash out a bit extra and get tshirts made with this material?

*edit*

Aardvark
2nd August 2004, 18:25
I'm thinking 'i-series network peon blue', it isn't THAT dark to be painful in heat, but doesn't automatically label you as being gay :)

PINK

lyn
7th August 2004, 16:48
As i stated before i can do pink but it is going to cost more, If you have sky blue or blue shirt blue then the shirts will be £5 each.

If you want pink they are going to be £7.50 each

So the chose is yours

Do we just pay for these when we get there, or are they being made to order? Because Drarok and I would be willing to cough up some money for some t-shirts :D

lyn

They will be made to order for people going on the trip.

Wizzo
8th August 2004, 17:12
OK PEOPLE LISTEN UP

This thread will NOT be hijacked in order to trade personal insults or abuse. This thread is to discuss the t-shirts for Alton Towers for those going. I have removed the offending posts and further posts bitching about spaces in rooms or containing abuse will be deleted.

Stick to the topic. Discuss where to get the t-shirts from and how they should look.

Lyn will not be providing the t-shirts anymore for personal reasons, as per her comment in one of the deleted posts. That is all that needs to be said. Find an alternative supplier.

I'm speaking to another supplier at the moment, I can offer:

Sky Blue with Black lettering
Pink with Black lettering
Pink with Glittery Letters

Any mix of these :) And quite affordable too. If someone could get back to me with a rough number of each :) I can tell the company.

afty
8th August 2004, 21:25
The "no black" argument is basically a "no dark colours, AT ALL" argument. Outdoor summer events need white or near white garments, anything else is heat-death and they wont get worn!

pink with spangley letters.... in spandex. hell yeah

i think just plane old black lettering on white is the best option

Pingman
8th August 2004, 22:17
im in agreement here, black letters on white is the best option i think, no dark colours as we will cook, no bright flower colours as insects will rape us like bugs with freshmeat and no pink shirts with sparkly gold letters or any thing else that makes us look highly homosexual!

Wizzo
8th August 2004, 22:17
sky blue for me thx

Murray-Mint
8th August 2004, 22:21
Weej: If you want to send me the quote, and post it here.

I am writing a small and quick PHP T Shirt ordering system. I'm thinking along the lines of, select what you want from a page, it emails me or someone else the details, that is passed on to the supplier/collated for ordering, then payment for T Shirts at i21.

Opinions?

It's the name of a specific ride at Alton Towers that flips you over and over, and has a lot of water involved...

afty
9th August 2004, 12:31
Basically, on the Buzzsaw, you bounce alot, and become very very wet.

When the day is hot, I basically ride the Buzzsaw over and over and over to keep cool.

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 13:11
The ride in question is the 'Ripsaw' a Huss Top Spin.

In other news! ORDER YOUR T-SHIRTS HERE!

http://www.murray-mint.co.uk/at/index.php

Many colours and styles. The slogan is undecided yet. I will be placing the first order at the end of the week. Then if I get more orders, the end of next week, etc.

Payment is preferred at i21 but other arrangements can be made.

i've ordered pink with glittery writing.

JOIN ME MY SEXUALY CHALLENGED FRIENDS.

Elbonio
9th August 2004, 18:05
i am also opting for pink with glitter letters

you know we should all have something consistent like "MPUK do Alton Towers 2004" and then we should each have a custom tag line for each one of us

"Mingtea - probably the longest man in the world"

"Elbonio - Just for men"

etc

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 18:11
Spoken to the supplier, it's an extra £1.50 to have nicknames on T-Shirts. So at the moment it's looking like:

MPUK Alton Towers 2004

<Some Witty Slogan - See Slogans Thread>

<Nickname>

I've updated the prices on the website to reflect this. Nickname can be on the Front or the Back. Opinions?

Switch`
9th August 2004, 18:39
Back for nickname

Also, im with Elbonio on this, Custom tag line thing and MPUK do Alton Towers 2004

Strych
9th August 2004, 18:49
Bloody good work Murray.
Pink, glittery letters. Its a must!

Nicknames on the back I reckon

When do we need to submit slogans? Is there a deadline? Will custom slogans have us for cost?

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 18:52
Custom slogans might be expensive. I'll check, but it may cost quite a bit more. As for general slogan submissions, I'm going to try and place an order Friday, so if we can decide on the slogan and position of Slogan and Nicknames by then, it'd be appreciated, otherwise, I'll wait another week.

I'm hoping if I order some at the end of the week, I might have them through in time for i21.

Guigsy
9th August 2004, 18:59
pink and glittery writing for myself :p

Murray-Mint
9th August 2004, 19:11
OK, spoken to the supplier, You can have custom slogans at no extra cost! So your T-Shirt can read whatever you want it to for the slogan. I have updated the submitting form with a box for slogan. If you don't enter one, then the default 'Playing Violent Videgames...' etc. will be put on instead.

All those who have already ordered T-Shirts, just email me@murray-mint.co.uk with your slogans.

However, it does defeat the whole object of uniformness. Just make up your minds! If you want separate colours (hey, it works for the i-series staff T-Shirts) or the same colour, differing slogans, or the same slogan, etc. At the moment, the T-Shirt is looking something like:

MPUK Alton Towers 2004

<A Slogan>

<Nickname>

So they will be easily recognisable we are from the same group. at a distance, people won't read the actual letters anyway, it will just the the shapes of the words, so I think it could work, but it's up to you.
