on monday recieved a phone call saying ive been selected for a special phone deal with t-mobile - £14.50/pm, 750 free minutes per month, 53 txt messages per month, new siemens camera phone ladidadida, right it for 24 monthsd i think i understood the indian man, so can i cancel the direct debit and not pay and get off scott free ( i am moving house next month) after 2 months i get an option to either pay by cash or carry on with direct debit - 2nd option, claim the phone stolen and tell them im not using it, unlock it, put in my original sim, move house etc. or be honest and take the phone back to t-mobile cancel everything and be honest. i accepted it on monday (whislt drunkish) and it coming tomorrow (wednesday) ........ best option. temteing to claim phone stolen, but father told me somthing that i might have to pay the rest of the money for the contract. and they can take you to court if i cancel all payments to them.

tell them you were intoxicated and were not in any state to accept a contract, im sure they have something that will cover this
if you "agreed" to it then theoretically you cant just claim it stolen - its a binding (and rather ****) 24 month contract with a rather **** phone (siemens phones are ALL crap imo). Phone up and say you no longer wish to have the deal - cite the distance trading laws that state that anything you have not seen before purchase can be turned within 14 days - the law is on your side.
But you DEFINATLY cant keep the phone and throw the sim card - you'll still have to pay £14.50 x 24 months, and if you cancel the direct debit they'll chuck your credit rating in the bin - not fun when you want that car loan or mortgage.
If you need anymore guidance about phone, feel free to PM me. Oh and if you report the phone stolen - they'll just black list the IMEI and it wont work in the UK. at all.

i wouldnt risk ANYTHING if your de-frauding the system, they could quite happily force you to pay everything you owe, and 17 quid a month for 24 months could be quite a lot!

2 years ago i listened to an advert selling a mobile phone and it stated that it was free.
Realise i could only listen as problems arose with my eyes and i couldn't see anything.
I phoned the company and said i've just listened to your advert on the TV and i would like a free phone. Person on the other end of the phone said ok, just need to take some details. I got suspicous when he asked for my Switch Card number, i asked him why and he said for validation. I got my phone about 3 days later with a bill saying they charged xxx to my account.
My question is should they have stated how much they were going to take from my account when i phoned them, as all i wanted was a free phone.
Only later when i got back the use of sight that there was small print in the tv advert.

Why didnt you ask someone to watch the ad with you and describe it/warn you of anything you may have missed through having no sight?
