May I suggest that people DON'T post their entire number here ... although I am very impressed that somone has 1337 in theirs ... the possiblilities for fraud with the knowledge of someones ENTIRE National Insurance number mens that people should exercise caution when posting.

CD

BTW there is nothing interesting in mine other than two numbers are sequential 81 82 ;)

Where i work, your NI number is your standard code for things, ID, file access levels etc etc. some people have complained about it here, but its government stuff so government > all on decisions.

ouch :/

its fairly well known here that this is one of the few companies where every employee knows their NINO off by heart. It really is everywhere.

most companies will ask for the NI card to photocopy along with some other photo ID, as sorta backup proof that its really yours... I know DSG did when I worked in Currys...
