i did not attend but was in stratford at weekend and it took me over an hour to get 6 miles into town from the motorway. Thats about 1/2 my journey time there. Why on earth is it held there.

I did, but every other road would have been blocked too. It took me about 15 minutes just to get off the M42 junc. slip road, as it seemed the police were trying to control the amount of traffic going into Stratford, but yeh past that and about 1/2 or 1/3 left of that long stretch of road before Londbrige roundabout it was solid.

John did you go to it?

Got stuck on the Stratford one way system for about 5 minutes before dad decided to take a detour around Hatton Rock. Traffic into Stratford was queued up for about a mile and a half from the Longbridge and was still at a standstill into the distance when we turned off just before the dual carriageway.

Last year it took me 3 hours to get from the centre of stratford to long martson airfield to attend, man that was the longest 3 hours ever.

I love these forums, where else can a thread about a festival turn into a discussion of traffic flow? :D

Must say that it was one amazing day!! Tiesto and Ferry Corsten were my favourite DJ's of the event but Oakenfold was pretty good on the beach. I spent easily over £200 on it but it was definitely worth the money.

We walked back from the airfield to the town centre in the morning which is quite a distance (especially in the state we were in) and we beat people who were driving. The ques were unbelievable!

yeah was a good event!!! I got tickets for a tenner due to living so close, you apply, show em a utility bill proving your locality and pay your money! All local peoples money paid gets donated to charity so i dont mind paying. Left about 3am to get some sleep before going car racing though.

Ferry Corsten did an amazing set but for atmosphere you couldn't beat Tiesto he had everyone in the main tent dancing like they were on drugs (although the majority probably were)

I got stuck on the way home from work in the traffic ques for the damn thing and ended up having to drive the long way home which took me about an hour.

TBH its not my thing, sure theres the appeal of getting messed and dancing like a twat for several hours solid AND the appeal of free tickets (my friends dad organizes the damn thing) but I'd much prefer to go somewhere like sonar or ATP.
