kids sat on toilets saying how adult they are cause they can wipe their own arses....pffffffffffft - as if being able to do that makes you 'grown up'.....
ps Halifax ads are really very bad too and McD's fake airline makes me switch over

Yeah the McDonalds adverts because of that bloody awful jingle. There must be something else to it, playing it on a frequency only chavs can hear.
The worst one yet is the football one where that moron chants "free one, free one" and then to make it worse they use air horns to play the jingle.
Must...kill...Ronald McDonald.....

Amusingly... the adverts have worked tho... by making people discuss them, the brand gets out there more!
So, if you tell your mates at work you switch over because of the mcdonalds advert, they'll think about mcdonalds...

The fact that you can remember these adverts, even as annoying adverts the fact is that you remember the brand.
For example:
Name a bank- most people say their own bank because its is familiar to them.
Name a worldwide fast food restaurant- Nearly everyone says Mc Donalds.
The secret of a good bit of advertising is to get it stuck in the head of the target audiance.

not always true
i dont use certain companies because the quality of their advertising has given me a bad impression of their company
HSA are the last people i'm going to go to for health cover, based purely on the fact that their advert was appualing (advertS)

Actually i must agree with that, HSA are people i would never go to. If the adverts are that annoying, imagine their customer relations staff. Some1 in their company may have even thought of those adverts .....

Well, on the other hand I doubt that you would fit into the target audience. Most people under 40 rarely think about their pension, life insurance or health plans.

I have a pension, and I'm 21.
Anyway, its very true to say that annoying adverts work in the advertiser's favour. The Curry's advert are a case in point. I think the agency who did them actually said they were angling for annoying.
Also, ever noticed how the adverts seem louder than the rest of the show? That's also on purpose. They mix them purposefully to be loud and brash. You'll notice the cheaper adverts aren't like that, presumeably because they don't know that trick!

You're one of the few. Also, people under 30 have a higher chance of getting into debt, therefore creating problems for funds such as your pension, as you're likely to try to get money out of it :)

Oh, and the FirstPlus adverts are pretty irritiating.. and the one about First Alternative, the "I'm not your sister!" one.
Oh, and for more adverts like this, get Sky if you haven't already, its like a package of crap adverts all rolled into one.
