want a laptop for watching dvd/divx/mp3 msn and the internet, if you have one with a spec good enough for that give me a shout.

ps. wireless would be a bonus, the option to get a wireless card is essential

700 tops. wouldnt mind some stand alone graphics rather than onboard. and celerons, hmm are rather **** i believe, but there a possibiility

it depends what you want, based on what you specified as its job, that would be more than adequet, celerons aint as poor as they once were.

i had bad experiences with them before so thats what makes me curious about them. what are the new centrino's like? they seem to have low mhz but high price tags

centrino isnt just the chip, (which is actually a hybrid p3/p4) its also wireless and powersaving and suchlike. They do the job, with like 5h battery lives.

I have a 1.7gig P4, DVD player 20gb HDD and (IIRC) 256mb RAM that I think is coming back onto offer due to someone letting me down...
