Ok, so what sports events will be occurring over the weekend? :)
So far I've heard calls for cricket and tennis, as well as the requisite football. I've taken the liberty of buying in a bunch of cricket equipment, including a slightly more realistic ball than we used at SL19 :)
extreme mobo cricket?? :D

basketball (there are quite a few windows though)? croquet? tiddlywinks (in case of rain)? races (we ARE at a racecourse)? darts?

Clearly need some more football, and possibly ultimate frisbee if it's not too windy, but don't forget we're there to play computer games, and excessive exercise is frowned upon.

Real men have odd shaped balls. Rugby anyone?
Also, if real cricket is attempted, then based on last times efforts I will be a) owning you all with hax bowling and b) parking somewhere in the next county for safety's sake.

Well Ryv, I took the liberty of purchasing an Incrediball, which bounces like a cricket ball but hurts a hell of a lot less when it smacks you on the earhole. I also now have a set of proper stumps, rather than the 6 foot wide wicket we used at sl19 :)
I may even bring some gloves for the pussies amongst you ;)

Oh god yeah, if we can just find a decent piece of grass we can play soem CPROPER team cricket. Don't need 11-a-side, or anywhere near really, there are ways and means :)

We could just sweep a piece of dirt road, or use tarmac. So long as its flat, its fine :)
I'm ACTUALLY now going to pack a broom...

lol, rugby is great not played it for a few years (5?!?), but i'm sure i could stil cause a bit of pain :P
The 2 other "sports" or more like games are britsh bull dog (1 person stopping a crowd of people, he needs to Dek one, then they some on his side, Thus crowd VS 2, and so on (as if you've never played that :P)
And as featured on the chris moyles

tbh I think (spoilsport old man mode) that Rugby and British Bulldogs would result in too many injuries.
Most of the people playing aren't really conditioned, and we usually get a few aches and strains in a gentle football kickabout. I shudder to think of the damage some people could do at Rugby.

Rugby Union is for pussies. If you can handle Rugby League, then consider yourself extremely fit :) I play both anyway, so either is fine by me :)

Rugby would be fine I'm sure. There's a reason why schools won't allow kids to play it until they've been taught how to tackle and fall properly, how not to leave limbs prostrate etc.
Inexperienced people playing rugby (ye gods, ESPECIALLY when there's a mix of some current or ex-rugby players) is a recipe for broken arms, dislocated shoulders and all sorts of knee injuries.

Oh, I was naturally assuming everyone who was playing knew HOW to play. I apologise, yes its a silly idea :)

I'm sure everyone knows HOW to catch a ball. Whether they succeed or not is another matter :)

Rugby League is S***e, i'm sorry, but any sport where you have to let the attacking team keep the ball after you've tackled them is not good, and yes i have played it.
I'm fine with rugby, assuming I can get the money to attend the event in the first place.

And, considering the amazing game we had last time, I demand video coverage :)
Aardvark

Yes, put Switch in the tower to film it :)
We need to find a drive on lawnmower to cut the grass this time.
Yeah, I would really LOVE to see a video of the game, always wondered how it actually *looked* when I arse up open goals :)

Oh come on guys, Rugby???
Imagine if someone like Dan ran into someone like me.
We need a nice, "non-contact" (take note psym, bvark) sport like ... FOOTBALL!
