Servers...

Currently trying to convince Wizzo to put us up a server, however there are issue because there is no dedicated server software for it. so technically you need a copy of the game + cd key to be able to run a server (lame)

They (novalogic) are on the case so hopefully if and when they release it, we can get some server action going.

In the mean time dear old halos is running a server (WHEN he gets it going)

i propose doing some standard tdm and capture stuff on it but also making a couple of nights Co Op games.

Thoughts ideas news?

also can u hint to novalogic that having bots on multiplayer maps would be a fanstastic first patch idea for them...

@ i20 we could only really play co-op's on our listen servers as not enough ppl wanted to play :/

fun none-the-less... it would be great @ i21 to get @ 40 ppl playing it.

Halos's server only (lol) has an ATI RAGE XL card and the game doesnt want to know even if we use the /serveonly switch :<

so looks like we cant use his box :<

This really isnt on, i cant belive that software today is being produced with such shocking omisions.

its not like dedicated servers are epic making or a bit risky.

it doesnt work m8. the /serveonly option doesnt actually help with his or mpuk's server

possible solution: jointops.exe /serveonly /w - makes it windowed.

tried it on mine, changing monitors around which usually causes the 3d detection. using /w makes it skip it it seems.

Got it working, bleedin' thing doesn't work through RDP.

ay was trying this all last night. the servers have an ATI RAGE XL card. still no joy as halos has the same server.
