I have a wireless network card which is connected to my ADSL router/modem. I have another network card that is connected to a computer which is sharing the Internet connection. Is there a way to limit the bandwidth that the other computer gets??

Gutted, that's all I can say.
Try netlimiter - might be able to detect the ICS software you are using and them limit that progam to whatever.
WINNIG
depends on your router tbh...

tis not the router connection that I want to control tis my network connection to the other PC.
Metlimiter looks good, but is shareware and runs out after 28 days. Know of any freeware? Doesn't have to do muh more.

If i remember correctly, netlimiter just keeps going. Just reminds you every day to register it, but doesn´t actually stop you using the program, much the same as Flashfxp. (Unless either has changed that now...)

Gave it a try, but it doesn't seem to limit the amount of upload bandwidth from my computer using my network card. Unless I've missed something.

Netlimiter can only limit programs (ie exes and dlls) that run on the PC. It can't limit internal windows components (ie windows sharing, ICS etc).
However, if you run an internet connection program other than ICS, like winroute or something it might be able to limit that.
The other way possibly, is to install netlimiter on the other PC, and if you know what programs are going to run on it, limit those.
As an example, the other pc is your little brothers and you want to stop him from owning the connection downloading through internet explorer. Then simply open up IE on his PC, go to any webpage (so that IE makes a connection and appears in netlimiters list) and limit it as necessary.
Of course, there's nothing stopping him from turning it off though :)

Precisely Lucifa, which is why I want to limit the amount of bandwidth that my ethernet network card has. I have a second wireless network card which connects to the internet (via router).
But using another program to share the connection and then limit that is worth trying.

I am sure that the "limiting traffic" debate has been covered extensivally before, if you have a look in the forum you might find it, i dont think it was that long ago. you might be able to find some solutions in there.

:) i rock - found the forums - and if you have your PC as the "choke" point - this software will work very well ;)

Notice that is a 30-day shareware version.
Anything like this that is freeware?
