Firstly dates on offer are:
Jan 2005
22nd-29th
Feb 2005
(29th Jan)-5th
5th-12th
I'm leaning towards the Jan date ATM so that we get Silk's birthday in, but please let me know ASAP if there are pressing reasons to pick/not pick other weeks (e.g. French school holidays, DJ Otzi world tour stops in tignes etc).
Price for the lodge is roughly £220 per person, although this will be varied a bit depending on who gets what room. That price includes accomodation and breakfast only. Dinner can be either cooked by us, or had from them for £8.50 a night.
They offer equipment hire (skis + boots or board + boots) for £65 a week (which is pretty good). The equipment looks ok to me, but I'll get Bvark to check it out, they have a full service facility in the lodge for adjustments. I don't know lift pass costs but I'd be shocked if they were less than £100-120.
Therefore, before travel costs will be c. £365-385 for B&B, hire and pass. For reference last year we had Half-board and wine plus transport (Twat AM flight and crap bus) for c. £450, but adding pass and hire to that comes to c. £650 so provided you get reasonably priced flights it looks all good.
They also offered to arrange minibus transfers from airports to the door of the lodge for £50 per person (discount on larger groups).
Lessons are available through the lodge, as are guided days (for off-piste etc).
Prices look ok, and significantly cheaper than last year, the lodge is also considerably more relaxed about things like arrival time and departures.
What I now need from you:
- Preferred date (get me this NOW so I can get a preferred date to John and he can block that out for us)
- Firm expression of interest backed up by a £50 deposit (thanks Silk) PM me for details.
- if the current quota of Newby (c. 3-5) spaces is used up I'll put people in a list in order of deposit receipt and then give details about overspill potential.
This is going to be a quality week.
- OB's I want PMs confirming interest, then I want money. Mwahahahaha.
