MPUK 2005 Ski-trip - here we go!

RAR, it's on. I had a long and useful chat with John of Dragon Lodge today, he's sending me a quote for booking out the entire lodge next season. Dates will be late Jan or early Feb.

If you've not been following the other thread this (http://www.dragonlodge.com/welcome.html) is Dragon Lodge.

It sounds like a top place and the guy was most accomodating about flexibility. I've asked for a quote based on B&B terms, but they can provide us with food on a half-board basis on request on idividual days (i.e. if we don't feel like cooking on arrival day etc).

The lodge sleeps 20, so that's the number of places on offer. If we have "overspill" they do have some self-catered appartments nearby which we can also grab.

More details when I receive them.

miss snowboarding so much, but with uni and massive debts from oz, it'll take some stiff negotiations.......

It'll be pay a deposit soon (e.g. c. £50) then pay the remainder by Christmas 2004.

Upfront costs should be low (ish), as we're going for B&B to allow people to mix n match as they desire. Sorting your own transport out, so if you have the time you can cycle down and save a few bob.

So a private arrangement of flying and sharing hire car / taxi costs wouldn't be a bad idea?

Im really interested in going as i didn't get to ski this season and i can't see me going next unless some one else plans it like this :D

What's with all this "if you'll have me" stuff? Only requirements for entry are there being space after the OBs are in (with spillover this may not be a problem), wanting to come and being prepared to get along.

Provided John is as good as his word I'll arrange the initial booking for 20 on the basis of OB hax + interest and deposits then arrange further bookings in the nearby appartments on an as-needed basis.

I think we should initiate the plan myself and NJ had to weed out the "I'm definitely coming" posts which turn out to be "I'm thinking of coming because it sounds cool, but I'll almost certainly back out when money becomes involved" from the genuine posts.
