To answer the question that actually started this thread, yes and no.

We get ADSL installed, but it is only 512!

This simply is not enough when shared amongst 80+ people who want to browse the web, collect thier email, use instant messaging and IRC... and lets not forget those people who will simply abuse it and either play games or saturate the connection by downloading something!

We have seen it before.

So... it will be restricted to use by only a few people who have legitimate need.... i.e. those of us who need to work whilst at the LAN. If there is something that is desperately needed off the net, then sure, just ask and we will download it.... otherwise consider the LAN to be internet free.
