Think I'll jump on!
Big thanks to everyone who made this event so very very fun. I had a real blast and the event was an almost perfect blend of gaming, outside play and socialising all around.
Big thanks to:
- Heron, for the loan of a graphics card on short-notice, although ultimately it was unnessecary (I think the problem is with the ram in my shuttle, at least it doesn't like to turn on unless I wiggle the RAM chips about a bit - is that bad? :) )
- The "meat crew" (Bugs, Culture, Wizzo, Ross) for keeping the entire LAN supplied with glistening meat for hours at a time.
- Hal0s for the illegal rave, and funding most of the people playing poker, muahahahahaha
- Elye, for perverting the seating plan and joining our corner anyway
- RTO and Ben, for burning themselves whilst working out the best way to gas-chamber with a plastic glass.
- Debs, for destroying me at DDR, and YDKJ. Revenge will be mine (although Ryv held up the BFC end at YDKJ). Also getting Ryv to bury his face in Psym's crotch at twister was well played...
- The row behind us, Duff crew and Juggy et al, for being good fun (just wish I'd had more time for generals), sorry about the lack of space in the Alienswarm games
- Wizzo, for the ear plugs.
- Rippsy, Nibbler et al, for the Trackmania challenges
- Exegesis, for joining in with EVERYTHING, even the crazy English sport of cricket. WP.
- Everyone who played football, but particularly Pumpkin for that tackle on bvark, you know the one I mean...
- Afty, for not insisting we play Kohan at all all weekend + the hot man on man action at articulate
- Bvark, for finding Alienswarm on slashdot (at least I think it was him), barring trackmania it was the game of the LAN. And as Trackmania is old I'm going to call it the new game of the LAN. Also thanks for the Vat O Wine (TM)
- Everyone on my row, for being up for all sorts of gaming at short-notice.
- T!mo, for a great lift back. Made the journey home really pleasant.
And finally
- Ryvita, for (big drawing in of breath), securing me a sleeping bag, bringing a tent, bringing a mattress, buying up enough San Miguel to fill a bath, bringing 2 crates of pepsi max, bringing magic cards, bringing the blue crack (tm), crate of mccoys, picking me up from the station (or not, git...), tray o pies, tray o sausage rolls, Hosting the UT clanmatch etc etc etc. Pretty much made the LAN possible for me, as well being in generally good spirits all weekend, ta very much.
Right, I've still missed out lots of people that I'd like to thank, but I need to get back to work.
