Have they got rid of that copy protection that stops it working on my PC yet?

Well, I bought Morrowing Game Of The Year edition the other day - lo and behold when it arrived through the post it was an UBI game - DAMN thinks I, I would never have bought it if I'd known, they are the arses who always use nasty copy protection.

Ah well thinks I, as it's single player I'm not that bothered about using a no-CD hack, I'll happily run it with original CDs.

Only NO! Wait, it runs fine.... but the copy protection does not recognise one of the expansion packs included (the best one, the one with all the votes, the reason I payed 20 quid for it) as being an original CD. So whoooop-de-****ing-do - thanks Ubi but you've completely ****ed it now. Not only am I boycotting your products, I'm going to be actively campaigning against you until you stop this crap.

i think only 2 things can stop the progression of stupid copy protections:
1: Something better. (not using CDs for copy protection. online authorisation?)
2: Remove the problem (stop/reduce piracy, not likely i know.)

3: The rapid growth of small independent game developers who appreciate that the use of copy-protection is counter productive and are not tied into giant publishers who are set in their ways and anti consumer.
