Rights Guys

For the upcoming LAN we will not be seating anyone on the seating plan unless they have paid in full before the event.
The LAN is booked in for the weekend of 2nd - 4th of July, as you may not know however in order for us to run this event we will require at least 50 people in attendance.

The reason for this is the shockingly attended LAN that took place last September at which we lost a lot of money because we still had to pay for the venue even though so few showed up.
Due to the above turnout this time round we will be setting a safety net for ourselves.
If two weeks before the event we don’t think that 50 people will be in attendance then we shall refund those who have all ready paid and cancel the event.
It is not the wishes of this admin team to do such a task however we cannot run these LAN parties at a loss.

If you wish to attend then please pay us before the event, we have given a load of time for people to book holidays from work if needed or to raise some cash if funds are low for some of you students (I know the feeling) so we can’t see why there shouldn’t be a good attendance like at the last event.

As stated before by the admin team the tournaments this time will be a Cs 5 v 5 at which we hope to see MagnuM All* defend there title as Current Uprising CS Champs.
The 2nd Tournament this time shall not be Q3 CTF as we have ended this tournament due to lack of interest from the attending gamers. The admin team have decided to put it to you the gamers about what the second tournament shall be.

Please share your thoughts with us the admin team regarding anything in this post.

Thanks

Uprising LAN Admin Team

as the subject suggests we decided on call of duty.
anyone who’s been in IRC would now that by now however i forgot to post on the forums or site about it :(

I would also like to take this time to point out that if the sign-ups don't improve before Friday the 18th June then the admin team will have no choice but to cancel the event.

Judging by previous events at the current time with the people who are currently signed up we would not have more than 20 people at the event and thus could not afford the venue.

If you know anyone who is interested in attending then now is the time to get them involved and get them to sign up.

Please also note that any names which appear false or invalid shall be removed form the list.
If we feel enough people are signed up then we will issue confirmation letters to them and make our final decision based on the number of returns.

What?!!!!!
Vote took place already!
Is it not too early to vote?
And how many people voted, and if the people that voted are more that those who have signed up i will be really upset.
Reason why should people not going get to decide what the other tourney will be.
Should'nt the vote be held at the lan from a selection of games or something more fair than a vote that was held over the internet.
Plus i am a little pissed that i cant play the single player of COD after that 1.4 patch!!!
