Me and Gunsmith have just finished a WIN game of TA (I Won OC)

But At SLan we Must Have Some 5v5 Matches till a TA King is Crowned!
Preferably version 3.1 (latest) with Core Contingency addon pack (im sure you all have your 'CDs' Somewhere(or backups in ISO format of your 'legal' Version)):D :p:

Nukes? Isn't that where the point defence missiles come in handy? :)

If you play against NJ, nukes are irrelevant. You'll be lucky to reach any level 2 building before he destroys you.

NJ is indeed, very very good at this game.

There will indeed be a 5 man BFC team ready to "take" all comers if there are any challengers at the event. There will also be a similar BFC Generals team, if any of you "want it". Hell, we may even decide to field a UT2K4 Assault team as well. I know myself Bvark and Andy are well prepared for UT assault, Ryv can be persuaded and Psym is usually competent in shooters. NJ, afaik, hasn't even looked at UT yet. Could be a laugh really.

I Challenge you, to a Kohan : Immortal Sovereigns game at the event. That's not 5v5, thats ME against .BFC. - One against Five.

If you accept I will be happy to sort you all out with playable copies of the game if you don't already have it, assist with patching / compatibility issues etc. And I guarantee once you've played it, you won't look back.

Oh, and I'll also be looking for Perimeter opponents at StratLAN too, though there's no 5v5 as it's 2v2 max afaik. It's due on sale the week before StratLAN.

While I admire your mettle, 1v5 deathmatch is actually not the handicap it seems, as you have 5 times as many targets... (hope I didnt spoil your potential party :) )

Well i think as far as TA Rules go

Nukes are Banned or Limited as if there is no limit on nukes it ends up being who can build the most nuke lanunchers and defenders, as if you shoot enough nukes, 1 is sure to get thru :p: :D

5k Unit Limit Clearly must be used, and a full metal Maraton map (Huge map in other words)

Also im quite good, not Exelent, but good, ask gunsmith :p:

I've always been curious as to:
1] How "full metal" maps make the game more interesting and
2] Why bother limiting nukes? They're the fun bit!

Actually, even without the BFC v ME game we'll have enough Kohan players at StratLAN for some good games - and I'll lead some players in comp stomps against the AI too as a learning tool.

Absolutely. The developers of the game, Timegate, have the foresight and intelligence to allow TWO players per CD Key on LAN, and encourage players to share the game in the hopes of eventually making more sales.

I own a disk image, and four CD keys, enough for 8 players to play the game. I know quite a few people (Strych / Doc / Lyn / 10acious /Wizzo etc.) have bought the game, so we have a fair few more.

Once you've picked it up, you won't put it down ;)
