Some pics i've done in Bryce 5.
Nothing particuarly complex, but i think they look okay :)

And what do you mean by that? :)
You mean the other 3D pics, or the photos?

is Bryce still more unstable than your average middle eastern dictatorship?
I remember using Bryce 3 and having it crash every hour or two...

it's not too bad anymore, it's about once every couple hours or so, and usually on something complex, or huge scenes. Saving after every change and it's okay.
The main problem I have with it is it's interface. Not the actual buttons and stuff, they're really good, but if you have your desktop set up differently to how hey expect, it hates you.
Like, I have my start menu at the side, meaning the 'touch zones' where the menu comes up, is actaully hard coded to be the top left of the screen, which is actually my start button.
Also it screws with MSN Messenger, if you have a chat window open and receive a message, it won't update on the start bar, it basically 'locks it'
But other than that and the lack of vertex editing, it's a nice program :)
