Got the patch last night but I still haven't installed the game yet.

I see it has a AMD 64 symbol on the back of the case, does that mean it can be run as a 64 bit game?

Interesting, my pc runs it fine without the patch, so perhaps i can notch AA up a bit with the patch :)

Typical been out 1 day in this country and there is already a patch out. Obviously they knew about the performance issues well before release.

I tried mp but it was unpayable. I don't have a cutting edge pc anymore but i thought it would have copped with everything on low.

xp athlon 2500

Yes, i know its only just been released and already there is a patch out.

However the good news is "there is a patch" out indicating the team realises the game has problems and is trying to solve them.

I understand some people do not like buying a game then having to straight away patch it, but try to see it from the developers side too.

I have bought the game and do not mind patching it, and have even emailed the producers with patch suggestions of my own ...

This is one fantastic game, I've never seen gfx this good and the gameplay doesn't suffer.

I have everything set to max and it flies :)

I haven't played 2k4 all day, far cry is so addictive.

Agreed, it is a very impressive game.
I think Im nearing the end of the single player after 2 solid nights play. Not bad for a modern FPS.

I spoke to the producer guy at i19. Although there were fixes in the patch, the main thing he touted to me was that Punkbuster was going in. Which tbh, can't be a bad thing.
