View Full Version : Quakecon
whats the chance of us planning a huge team to go Quakecon 2004 or 2005. flights over start from £600 and rooms from $109 and if we got sponsership this may be cheaper!
i think its to late for this years event, but i will be around at i20 so like they say "talk is cheap!" and maybe we could sort something out.

For what game?
Looks like i'll be going to CPL and quakecon, both a couple of weeks apart, might spend 4-5 weeks out there insted of coming home and getting another flight a week later.
And sponsorship just like that? for what? you really haven't a clue have you :P

i would love to go to Quakecon but cant afford it
one day...
maybe if its QC 2005....
there are many of us who play different games, and we could get a easily get a team for each game!
As for sponsership we dont need huge names like 'AMD' or 'OCZ Tech'. there are plenty of small internet sites who would jump at the chance to have their name shown at this huge event! and like i said it may be too late for this year, but we have over 18months to plan for next year!

no we wouldnt get sponsorship
but if its under our own steam for QC 2005 we can start saving up.
This is going to need some serious organisation though and it needs to be started soon if its going to get off the ground...

i agree, we should go out on our own. the cheapest flights are £600 Return but hopefuly next year it should be cheaper. and the rooms are about £60 a night but if we could get a few of us other there it should be cheaper (p.s you seen the hotel its now held in?) i think we should have a serious talk about it at i20, and see what comes of it. and yeah its free but you have to become a member of there site.
