I more than likely have a lot going on in September... but we will see. I've only been once.. + I can't stand queues/waiting, but I love rides, and as long as you lot wanna go on the scary rides, then they are worth waiting for ;)

Just to clarify - this year I will be doing two rooms since there seems sufficient demand. After some IRC pimping, I have the 12 people I need. Now, it's just deposits after I book the room (Whenever Bugalugs gets off his ass and gives us dates).

I have just spoken to reservations and got some rough off peak prices for a room for 6 adults from Monday 20th September, the price is approx the same for each of the hotels.

2 nights = £690 per room

1 night = £400 per room

That includes: B&B, Park Entry, access to either hotels Entertainment & Facilities (now includes Spa) and Access to Water Park from 12noon on arrival day till 12noon on departure day


As I say this is a rough guide of price. It does depend on the date.

OK, here's a suggestion. MurrayMint, Elbonio is currently down for your booking but can't pay as early as is necessary to please your mum. Afty is looking for a space and, unlike Elbonio, is in full time employment. We were assuming that Afty can at least pay the deposit fairly soon?

So, Elbonio swaps to my room where he can enjoy a world of late payment, and Afty moves into the space in Murray's room because he isn't student slacker scum.

Would everyone be happy with this?

Well, you aren't really messing me around. The end of April deadline (After Student Loan Payments) is only really a guideline. Certain people (ie. Previous Guests of Room Mint) will be given extended credit :)

If I work it out, I need 550 at the end of April, since Noodleman and Kil88 have/will be paying in full, I can afford for a few people to be after the deadline.

I have it all in a MySQL table with all the payments and such. When I get back from Austria, I'll make the payments page and stuff public.

In summary; People who haven't spoken to me regarding payment, I want your deposits (50.00) as soon as is possible (Before the end of April preferrably). Elbonio, I am willing to give you extra time because you are made of pure win, but if you want to swap with Afty then I don't mind.

I left Alton towers at 2pm, got two busses and then 3 trains (it all went so wrong) and was due to play drums at a large conference at 6pm

i was pulling into Manchester piccadilly at 5:55 (the trains got screwed up) and i had called my friend james to come and pick me up as i know he's a fast driver, and he got me there for 6:01 - it's a 15 minute drive...


they had started without me and i had to do an on-stage swap with a stand-in drummer they found, halfway through a song! and i managed to keep the beat going too!


was quite funny actually as I still had my "Wizzo's disciples tour" t-shirt on... :rolleyes:

Just got back from a recon of Alton Towers. I accidentally turned the wrong way leaving the car park this afternoon and accidentally ended up parking in Splash Landings hotel, and purely by accident I acquired a couple of wristbands for Cariba Creek. :)

Firstly, the park:

* Log flume has been refitted and is no longer a log flume, since the logs have been turned into baths and the whole thing given a bathtime theme.
* Nemesis and Oblivion are showing their age sadley, they need a coat of paint even moreso than last year, Oblivion has turned grey and the Nemesis pit needs some maintenance (weed killing, water in the waterfalls)
* Spinball Whizzer, the new spinning coaster is actually very good. Queues are long for it (new ride, slow throughput), but it does appear on Queue H4X cards, so not a problem for us.
* Not sure if this was true last year, but the DDR machine in X Sector (Euromix 2) was set to only 2 songs.
* Swan boats are gone, sorry :(
* Nemesis has been tuned up a bit over the winter and now runs smooth as anything and slightly faster.

Now Splash Landings

It's finally been completely finished, even the plain corridor (near 2nd floor games room). Lifts look good now. Master Blaster now has an on-ride photo system. Your wristband has a barcode on it, and when you get off of Master Blaster, you photos are displayed on a screen (waterproof TFT) and there is a barcode scanner for it. Scan your wristband then collect and pay later on at the pool shop.

Room Mint Members (heh, I said Member).

I checked with the hotel, my booking IS confirmed! However, Zeuseh, Pumpkin, Limited and Neophyte are not (Those who have arranged when you will be paying, I thank you and look forward to your deposits,).
