Absolutely great week. Great bunch of people, great snow, great nights out/in, great amounts of drinkage and overall a great time. Did I mention "great"? :)
Many thanks to those who attended, who really made the week as memorable as it was. Roll on the next MPUK Ski-trip next year. Plans are in motion :)

i feel i should mention that there was FAR FAR too much wine flowing freely... i'm looking at ...
Edited to maintain the "some things that happened on the ski-trip shall remain on the ski-trip rule" :)

Yes several incidents of drunken antics shall not leave the four walls of the chalet. Our esteemed leader Zakalwe demands nothing less... and a sterling job he did organising the trip too!

Indeedy it was fantastic the only problem was it had to come to an end.
Top organisation from Zak, great guys and gal + huge amounts of sun, snow, skiing and alchohol made for one hell of a week.

So you want to go somewhere where it will be illegal for you to drink? Might be a good idea for all of us, shame Saudi Arabia doesn't have any snow...
You can execute OGHax next time, which is even better since we've only got two OG's at the moment so your odds are that much better.
American trip is a nice idea, $ should be down to sub 2:1 per pound by then as well. May be even more pricey than this year though, also it requires 2 weeks as the flight+jet lag is a bastard to get used to in 1.
If people are still up for it on those 2 conditions (ludicrous expense and extra holiday) then I'll look into it later on this year.

the drink age doesnt bother me too much but however not being able to join the rest when they venture off to town may not be quite so fun :/
i'm gonna go research the drinking ages for canadian provinces as clearly america is sucky 21+ :(

right here goes:
"The legal drinking age in Canada varies between the different provinces and territories: In Alberta, Manitoba and Québec the legal drinking age is 18 years, for all remaining provinces and territories the legal age is 19 years"
so close!

I think it's best to stick to Europe, for the reasons of Jet lag, skiing time and expense... US is ludicrously expensive, and Canada is not as bad, but big flight issues will mean it is at least a little more...
Besides, I heard the Italian resorts are populated with young women...

Europe would certainly suit me better both for monetary and holiday considerations I guess.

Well yes this is all true, also it would appear that the north american resorts aren't quite a patch on the european ones.. i'm only speaking from looking at stats like number of runs, altitudes, number and types of lift and so on.
I'm really looking forward to the next one!

Europe fine
US/Canada - I dream but in reality (ie my wallet) not fine
Timing - Calls for Xmas are to be opposed by me (I work in ASDA do I get Xmas off - no). Early Jan through to mid March is ideal timewise. 14 days in Italy would be divine though.

So looks like the American option is less popular.
However, don't be fooled by price etc. I reckon I could do 2 weeks in Breckenridge, including lift-pass, hire, food, flights and accomodation for sub £1000. Especially as the $ should be less than 2:1 by then. I've been to Breckenridge before and it's a huge ski-area with 5 mountains connected by modern lifts, also lots of fun stuff to do in town.
Does need to be 2 weeks though. I'll do some research later on this year and lay out the options. Clearly the last holiday was far too fun not to do again.

You're systematically raping my entire holiday allowance aren't you :p 2 weeks will leave me with 8 days to fit in several lans, as well as any non multiplay stuff I do :D

i love how my work is fairly flexible with holiday ;) although i'm unsure if working full time there (thats assuming they will take me on) with have a greater bearing on that kinda stuff :o
europe means i can get drunk :p however also does alberta, quebec and manitoba :p
