I've still not managed to find anywhere to download it.
The queues must be vast.

Multiplay UK FTP server has it, coming down to me at a very pleasing 200k/s :)

Well I must say that was a very ...
PLEASANT
experience :D
Love the ranged combat. Watching a funny white become an incoming missile was a bit goddamn scary.
LOVELY graphics

By the way, anyone wanting to download it
BIT TORRENT IS YOUR FRIEND
Seriously, this is where peer-to-peer stuff really, really excels. I believe AcidUK was commenting on there being over 600 people on one torrent alone.

My thoughts on the demo:
A: Nice, great looking and fun to play. AI wasn't as jaw dropping as I'd read, but still ok (on medium).
B: Nice plants, beaches and stuff. The "very high" quality effects are extremely good - shame my rig can't quite hack them.
C: Jak's suprisingly well camouflaged for a man wearing a hawaiian shirt.

Nope, got it from fileshack so never bothered with torrent searching. 3dgamers.com usually have a torrent link

I'm guessing the theory behind it is that the enemies are thinking NO-ONE in their right mind would wear a hawaiian shirt as they are all bad - therefore, it must be a trick of the light or the heat playing effecting the mind.

i thought it was a very good demo... nice and action packed and showed off the game...
the AI seemed very advanced to me, compared to recent releases like Invisible War and XIII, which both had relatively lame-ass AI...
what u think lacked Lucifa?

I really liked it for a demo , and il cover the niggles later . The gameplay is very good , but you walk slower than i am personally used to , looking around and aiming can be a bit hap-hazard. There are multiple routes to the top , 2 and counting ive found .
The graphics are nothing short of awesome , and I think we cant use the term draw distance as , well there isnt any. it draws the island , you really can look anywhere and just go there. Theres a bug with AA , i hope they can that fixed in the final release so it helps me justify getting a 9800xt.
The greatest thing about FarCry is the AI . If your reading this while waiting for it to dl you wont be dissapointed, it really is something new. I certainly cant do it justice but reviews elsewhere can.
Cant wait, in other words . 2k4 will be a gd year for us gamers especially after the (for me) dissapointment that was 2k3.

I enjoyed it very much.
However the AI needs working on. More specifically the enemy recognition/detection.
There were times when I was out in the open and should have been seen - for example the opening sequence where I was driving in a boat accross open water - I passed another patrol boat and it did nothing... nor did the people on the beach who could plainly see me.
Then on the other extreme there was me in the jungle, crawling in thick undergrowth making no sound from about a distance of 60metres, just peeking my head to see about 3 pixels of one guy's head and he goes "there he is! and starts running at me!" there was no way that i could have been seen...
just thing like that really.
But then on the other hand the multiplayer will 0wn....
