me and 2 mates are trying to play this, but majority of time it says one of us have a firewall running which we dont, a few times we ve played, well got half way through then it brings up disconnection window saying one of us has disconnected.

why is this?

Firstly, are you trying to both connect from the same ip/location?

If so and you don't have multiple ips allocated for your machines, then you won't get past the incredibly stupid EA lobby system for Generals.

You will either need to connect one at a time, not overlapping of course, or get multiple ips from your ISP.
