I am clan leader of {SAS} Battlefield 1942 clan,we currently rent a 'dedicated' box from the guys here at MPUK,up until now we shared the cost of the box with another BF clan,but they have suddenly decided to pull out leaving me only 10 days notice
So im here to see if there are any UK clans looking to share a 'dedicated' box with us,we have been loyal customers of MPUK for 12 months and we were actually the first clan to rent one of thier BF server last year,so im sure they will vouch for us :)
you can run basicly what ever game u like on these boxes,you'll also get a TS2 server/channel
It will run 2 'seperate' BF servers with no trouble at all (both 32 players) or you can run a CS server or UT23K server..whatever u like :)
Your server name will be 'unbranded' so you can call your server what ever u like,you also get full admin control and FTP so u can upload your own maps or what ever
These are the actual specs posted by MPUK on these boxes
Dedicated Server Pro
Minimum Spec: P4 2.5GHz, 1024MB RAM, 30GB HD
100 GB International bandwidth* per month
Unlimited UK bandwidth*
Choice of Windows** or FreeBSD server
No setup fee. Minimum contract length of 3 months.
£189.00 - for monthly payments.
£538.65 - for 3 months payment in advance. (5% discount on monthly cost)
£1020.60 - for 6 months payment in advance. (10% discount on monthly cost)
Examples of server capability:
1 x 64-player MOHAA server, or
4 x 24-player MOHAA servers, or
2 x 32-player BF1942 servers, or
6 x 12 player Quake 3 servers
Because i already rent the box there will be no set up fee and we can arrange a monthly 'rolling' agreement so u dont have to pay 3 months in advance you will just pay monthly
The cost is £90 a month
