In counterstrike. When I buy ammo I cannot buy any item that has a number over 5 on the keyboard
For example I cannot buy ammo for the desert eagle
Is there any way of sorting this.

Which version of CS are you playing? Prior to beta 4 you had to buy ammo seperately for each weapon, b4, 5 and 6 (probably - haven't had a real good play of it yet) you need only buy ammo for your primary weapon or secondary weapon.

If I remember rightly all you need is to add some lines to the config.cfg file like so (look and you'll see lines for 1 thru 5):
bind "6" "slot6"
etc. to 9

Beta's 4 onwards included options in the Controls menu to bind weapons 6 - 9 to keys. But before that (Beta 3) you will need to manually bind the slots to keys.

I suggest you try and get CS Beta 6, its got lots of new stuff that you won't be familar with if you're still playing Beta 3.

The guys are right, your error is with 99% because you haven't got the weapons categories assigned to 1-9... pretty bad bug in the programming if I may say.

I know this ****ed me up royally in a clan game of TFC, was just to tryout my brand new script and I ended up not being able to pick any of the classes I wanted, and had to break. This was all because I had assigned the weapon categories to different keys. What you do is keep the secondary assignement to 1-9 as you normally want the primary on something different.

Have you guys played Beta 6???!!!!! I can't believe that anyone would rather play TFC over what must be the best multiplayer experience ever created. CS has everything! Great models, fantastic maps, teamwork coming out of it's ears! More ppl play this than Q3 and UT PUT TOGTHER!! Get your acts togther ppl...get over to www.counter-strike.net (http://www.counter-strike.net) and download the latest, and by far the greatest, beta.

You dont play on the numeric kepad do you? i.e.

8 forwards, 5 backwards 4 left and 6 right?

as HL doesnt discriminate the keypad from the norml keys. I remap F1 -> F10 for 1 -> 0
