View Full Version : Savage Broken for me...

Dunno whats going on, is anyone else experiencing this problem?..

Friday 24th October was the last time I was able to play Savage online. Ping was fine, the game was good, etc, etc.

Move on to Saturday 25th October and suddenly Savage isnt having any of it. For a start it claims my CDKey/account is in use, then not, then is, then not. Basically it cannot decide, and I cannot get a ping below 500 anywhere, most pings are over 1000.

I tried reinstalling savage today, same problem, I've reinstalled my machine + savage and still suffer for horrendous unplayable pings. The problem does not seem to effect any other game, eg. Quake 3 is fine, Generals Zero Hour is fine and Warcraft 3 is fine.

So what has changed in Savage between Friday Night and Saturday Night ?. Anyone got any clues?

Tried multiple servers?? yep.. Its very bizzare, I was in a demo server last night and my ping ranged between 29 (excellent) up to 999 ( :( ). The whole game has suddenly become unplayable and I have yet to understand why???

After the demo came out between about 9am - 10pm I could connect to any savage games. Ping times were fine, no one else was having this trouble and my download speeds were fine.

Totally bizzare, just checked this morning, and everything is fine again.. Maybe it was NTL? Maybe it was Savage? Who knows?

how long was it laggy for?
i use NTL and i've had a few lag spikes but they only lasted about 10 seconds

Er there was a patch out.. it should auto update tho? with that thingy that opens up before save.. and it does the thingy.. with the thingy..

Yup its NTL, been suffering from the same problem for a few weeks and they said it should be resolved by the end of this week... for this region at least (n. london)

i am currently suffering similar symptons in BF1942, also on NTL, also blaming NTL.
