Scenario: You are going to be killed in a nasty nasty way and are entitled to one last meal.. nothing silly, only genuine food/drink... what would you request?
For me it would have to be a 4 pack of grolsche, a pack of sausage rolls, and some doritos to finish the job :)

Steaks, from burnt (to me thats medium rare), to basically ones still kicking and screaming. Lots of steaks. with some bread, and some mashed potato and gravy. Gorgeous.
Top that off with lots of VK Blue & Gueniss (the nicest drink ever, but at about £4 a go it ain't cheap). Maybe some Smirnoff Ice Black and Pints of Stella too.
Oh and a packet of fags (no need to worry about my health if i'm dying soon).

An "all you can eat" Chinese ;p
Afty
3rd October 2003, 08:51
An enormous plate of melon balls to start, with a port glaze, mixed fruit broulee and a glass of Château Mouton-Rothschild.
Follow that up with a 16oz Sirloin draped on a mixed grill (couple ribs, scampi, gammon) with roast potatos dripping in butter, enormous side salad and a pre 1990 bottle of Bollinger.
A dessert would clearly be too much to handle, but a large Cuban cigar and half a bottle of a single Malt from the Campbeltown region would go down nicely.
All in all, I wouldn't die happy, I'd pass out ecstatic, then fail to notice my passing.

For food, it would have to be Medallions of Beef and Venison in a Juniper Berry Sauce, followed by a pot of Strawberry Cheesecake Haagen Dazs ice cream.

If i`m gonna die in a "nasty nasty way" then i think, given the choice, i`d probably have to ask for....
Fillet of "executioner" with chopped "guards" and a dash of tomato sauce.

I agree with the steak issue.
Here's my 2 penny worth
16oz prime aberdeen angus steak, medium to well done, fried off in cracked peppercorns and olive oil, then chargrilled above a flame licked grill.
Serve this with dauphonaise potatoes, brocolli, carrots and peas.
Add a fine medium dry white wine, perfectly chilled to 5 deg celsius.
For dessert, the quintissentially english apple pie, of course made with cinammon, and served with either fresh double whipped cream, or homemade vanilla ice cream.
Then I would die happy.
:D
