I seem to remember articles oabout this plate in The Register not long ago, about it going for thousands of pounds. Nice plate, shame about the car

I was going to get H4 XOR for a mere 800 quid or so, but my car at the time was a D reg so wouldn't have been able to use it. S'gone now, bastids.

Why couldn't you have used it ?
It doesn't matter about the registration wether it's D or not.
It's that it is "registered"

I'm kinda thinking that the best place for a "leet" reg plate is on a car like a Fiat Seuqento (sp?). That or a hair dressers car.

A lot of VW New Beetles were registered with X111 BUG or similar.
Guy I used to work for had M12 POO (MR Poo) as his number plate - his wife has M5 POO.
EVERYBODY who saw it did a double take.
Trouble is with that L1NUX plate is you know the guy who drives it is probably like Comic Store Guy in The Simpsons. :)

One of the local firms around here has a delivery van with the extremely appropriate number plate "BRA 1"
i won't mention the name of the firm, except to say they have a couple of factories here and do some very eye catching adverts ;)

Try these two for size:
An advert (http://www.davidrickard.net/Muffins.jpg)
A Car (http://www.davidrickard.net/kar.jpg)
Plus, there's a scaffold company around here (Niall) who have 'For a better erection' on the back of their lorries.

Just change your name to P394 AGT, much cheaper than custom car plate nonsense

If I wanted my choice of letters from March 2002 onwards, it will cost me £500 to buy the plate. If I wanted the September 2001 version, it would cost £1000.
Go figure.

i've been looking for a way to have E180 NIO but they dont do I's or O's
anyone know a way around this either by clever number/screw manipulation or maybe an irish numberplate?
Mu5icMan
7th October 2003, 11:18

Elbonio
7th October 2003, 11:19

LlamaMan
8th October 2003, 19:57
They have the numbers 0 and 1, which is great if you want the 2nd to 4th digits to be O or I but really screws it up if any other letters need to be O
