I dont think we are offering DC at the moment. It just uses too much CPU.
The only way would be to rent a dedicated box.

As yet we have been unable to offer DC as a clanserver, due to the very high CPU usage. We have as yet only offered it to customers taking dedicated servers off us, that is where a customer rents an entire machine.
It would be interesting to see how a 20-player DC fared under unix, to see if the performance has improved since the earlier testing. However, I really don't expect it to fall back within tier 3 pricing. Next step is to get up a 20-player public and fill it for a night to see how the usage pans out. Failing that, here's our standard blurb on dedicated servers... shameless cutting and pasting from boilerplates here :)
A dedicated server gives you the freedom to run what games you want on your own box, up to the physical resource limits of the box, and within a monthly bandwidth allowance. You get a choice of windows or freebsd (unix) OS at no difference in cost. Dedicated server customers can opt for a managed service, where all the games on your server are kept up-to-date on your server by us and you get our powerful "ClanForge" web control panel to manage all your processes. However, we do not allow write FTP access, SSH or Radmin Administrator access to managed clanservers.
Alternatively, you can choose to go unmanaged where you are given the Administrator password and vnc/radmin desktop access in the case of windows servers or SSH access and the root password in the case of Unix servers. Support from Multiplay is then limited only to hardware (the physical machine) and connectivity (network and internet service). Unmanaged customers are on their own when it comes to running the games, but we do try to help when we can. Please note that a reinstallation fee of £100 + vat (£117.50) is chargable if the server is rendered inoperable or inaccessible by the actions of you or one of your admins.
We offer two dedicated server packages:
Dedicated Server:
P4 2.53 GHz, 1024 MB RAM, 40GB IDE HD
100 GB bandwidth per month (based on 95% UK usage)
choice of win2k or unix server
£117.50 setup, then £180 per month inc VAT. Minimum 3 month contract, and we will waive the setup fee if you pay quarterly in advance or take out a 6 month or longer contract.
Dedicated Server Elite:
Dual Xeon 2.4 GHz, 2048 MB RAM, 40GB IDE HD
200 GB bandwidth per month (based on 95% UK usage)
choice of win2k or unix server
£117.50 setup, then £299 per month inc VAT. Minimum 3 month contract, and we will waive the setup fee if you pay quarterly in advance or take out a 6 month or longer contract.
If you'd like to chat more about our service and the options available, or proceed with an order, then please either catch me in #mpukhosting on Quakenet IRC, or give us a ring on 023 8024 3137.

firstly thanks for the replies guys
ok so a dedicated box may be the way to go ..
i dont know anything about servers and what you can run on them and how much bandwidth we woudl use so could you please tell me roughly what i could expect from a dedicated box
ie. could i for instance run a a 24 player dc server and a 24 player bf server on same box and mannage to maintain good performance ..
would this be possible on your basic dedicated package ?
and finaly how much bandwidth does a clan use per month on average .. we have roughly 30 members if that makes any difference..
i appologise fo rmy blatent noobnes =)

With regards to the bandwidth, we're only really bothered about the international usage, which is much more expensive than local, i.e. UK bandwidth. In reality the 100 GB limit is only applied to international traffic, and you can use as much UK bandy as you like as long as it is for gaming. That said, 100 GB is a LOT of bandwidth over a month.
From our experience with our dedicated boxes, you should get 2 x 24-player servers out of the dedicateds. People have tried 2x32-player and they've just pushed it too far. BF1942 is just a cpu hog, especially with DC on as well ;).

Setting up of servers is included in the managed option. We also update your servers automatically with the rest of the farm in the event of patches to your games/mods you are running.
